The Twossaints Creators' Grant is offered as a no-strings attached financial support to help Saint Lucian creatives. They can spend the money on whatever they want – be that make new work, buy equipment or materials, travel, research, or to even cover some life expenses.
This grant has been set up because Saint Lucian artists are systematically under-supported by the art world; by institutions, curators, major and minor funding bodies, and by audiences too.
We recognise that a lot more needs to be done systematically to support our artists. However, we hope that this grant will help enable recipients to continue their artistic practice(s).
This edition of the Twossaints Creators' grant is facilitated by Dr Melissa Irvine. Dr. Melissa Irvine is a Jamaican-French linguist based in Saint Lucia. Her research interests include creoles and language variation, and she is passionate about all things cultural documentation.
Dr. Irvine is also looking forward to assisting the recipient with research and methodology during their time of work.
Applicant Eligibility:
- No age limit
- Applicants must be a Saint Lucian resident
- Applicants must reside in Saint Lucia at the time of application
- Applicants must actively practise their chosen art form
- There is no deadline as this is a monthly rolling grant
